The Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce (GCVCC) has disclosed the specifics for an imminent event in the city of Indio—the inauguration ceremony of "Happy Alley."

On April 3, 2024, Downtown Indio is set to host the unveiling ceremony on Miles Avenue between Oasis Street and Towne Street. The event commences at 3:00 p.m., presenting features such as a vibrant canopy of umbrellas and murals depicting imagery like palm trees and a Ferris wheel.

On the south side, Indio's latest mural, Practical Galactical, will be displayed both day and night. With black light elements, visitors can enjoy a spectacle at night. According to the press release by GCVCC, Public Arts Analyst Leila Namvar and the artists will be available for interviews, elucidating on the project's creative process and significance.

The GCVCC, under the leadership of President/CEO Brandon Marley, was founded in 2016 to support a business landscape spanning nearly forty-five miles. Catering to nearly half a million residents and over a million annual visitors, the chamber functions as a business membership organization, depending on member investments. Registered as a 501(c)(6) non-profit entity, GCVCC leads business development initiatives, convenes officials and professionals through events, and advocates for the local business community as per information on the GCVCC webpage.
