The Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce (GCVCC) has disclosed the specifics for the Veteran Entrepreneur Business Start program, set to take place in March and April. The initiative is aimed at aiding military veterans in setting up their first businesses.

The six-week program, running from March 21 to April 25, offers participants a comprehensive curriculum intended to furnish them with vital knowledge and skills across diverse aspects of business ownership. Upon finishing the program, eligible participants can apply for a $2,500 grant from the County of Riverside, according to a press release by GCVCC.

According to the same release, the program commences with an introduction to business ownership that encompasses entrepreneurship, feasibility, business structures, and basic licensing and permits. Following weeks delve into pivotal areas such as business planning, market analysis and customer discovery, financial literacy, digital marketing and social media, and legal considerations. Each week provides an in-depth exploration into specific topics - from formulating a business plan and comprehending market dynamics to mastering financial management, utilizing digital platforms for marketing purposes, and navigating legal complexities.

Under the leadership of President/CEO Brandon Marley since its establishment in 2016, GCVCC has been supporting a business landscape spanning nearly forty-five miles. Serving almost half a million residents and over a million annual visitors, the chamber functions as a business membership organization that depends on member investments. As a registered 501(c)(6) non-profit entity, GCVCC leads business development initiatives while also convening officials and professionals through events and advocating for the local business community.
