According to the casino's announcement, the current lineup of Los Lobos, a band with a 50-year history known for their cover of Ritchie Valens' hit "La Bamba," includes David Hidalgo, Cesar Rosas, Conrad Lozano, Louie Perez and Steve Berlin. The release stated that the band boasts a discography of 17 studio albums, seven live LPs, three compilations, two EPs, and two DVDs. They have also been awarded four Grammy Awards. Los Lobos' musical style is influenced by the members’ Mexican culture, upbringing in East L.A., and an array of genres including soul, R&B, doo-wop, blues, jazz, and rock and roll.
Like Los Lobos, Los Lonely Boys also have Grammy Awards to their name. The band was formed by brothers Henry, JoJo, and Ringo Garza during their adolescence in San Angelo, Texas. According to the press release from Fantasy Springs Resort Casino, the band is known for their late 1990s hit "Heaven." Having been active for nearly 20 years now they are looking to expand their catalog with a new album.
Fantasy Springs expressed that by bringing these two groups together for this event fans are guaranteed to enjoy a night filled with "distinctive and eclectic Latin flavor."
