Coachella Valley Horse Rescue (CVHR) is preparing for its 2nd Annual "Raising Hay" fundraiser, scheduled to take place at the historic J & J Ranch in La Quinta, California, on November 16, 2024. The event aims to generate funds for the rescue operations and equine-assisted wellness programs at their facility in Indio.

The fundraiser will commence at 3:30 PM with light appetizers and a silent auction featuring artwork, jewelry, sports memorabilia, concert tickets, and various gift certificates. Croux & Co. Catering will provide a BBQ dinner with vegetarian/vegan options starting at 4:30 PM. The evening will also include entertainment such as a DJ, line dancing, a veteran's tribute, and a cash bar.

Last year's event raised over $30,000. This year’s goal is set at $50,000 to cover operational costs for early 2025. Funds will support expenses like hay and feed, medical services for horses, and program costs for youth and veterans' wellness initiatives.

The event is supported by John K. Miller of Premier Real Estate Group as the presenting sponsor along with major underwriters Maco Equipment Rentals, ProSeed Landscape & Irrigation, and One Valley Foundation. CVHR is seeking additional sponsors for entertainment costs and donations for the silent auction.

Tickets are available online for $100 until October 31 or can be purchased at the door for $125. All proceeds from ticket sales benefit CVHR directly.

To participate as an event sponsor or donate items for the auction, interested parties can contact Linda Dondero via email or phone. Donations are tax-deductible according to IRS regulations.

Further details about CVHR can be found on their website.
