The 37th Annual Palm Springs Aerial Tram Road Challenge took place today, with Conner Blalock emerging as the overall winner. He completed the course, known as the "World's Toughest 6K," in a time of 29 minutes and 56 seconds. D'Arcy Hlavin was the first female finisher, clocking in at 39 minutes and 33 seconds. In age-specific categories, Demetrius Bribiesca topped the youngest group (19 and under), while Cherie Gruenfeld led the oldest category (80-99).
In addition to these overall winners, results were announced for various age divisions for both men and women. Demetrius Bribiesca from Joshua Tree, CA won the male category for ages 19 and under with a time of 35 minutes and 15 seconds. Iona Hutton from Palm Desert, CA was the top female in this category, finishing in 52 minutes and 28 seconds.
Other notable winners included Ricardo Franco from Cathedral City, CA in the male age group of 20-24 with a time of 50 minutes and six seconds. Biannca Guintu from Rancho Mirage, CA finished first among females aged 20-24 at a time of 42 minutes and eleven seconds.
In the older age brackets, Cherie Gruenfeld from Cathedral City stood out by completing her race in one hour, six minutes, and forty-five seconds.
The event featured participants across multiple age groups ranging from teenagers to competitors in their eighties.
