Join author and historian Steve Lech on March 15 for a presentation and book signing at the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. The event will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., where Lech will discuss his book, "Crocker’s Folly," which explores the challenges faced by the founders of this renowned attraction.
Steve Lech, who hails from Riverside County, has dedicated over four decades to researching the area. He has authored or co-authored more than twelve books and over 300 articles on Riverside County's history. Beyond writing, he is actively involved as co-editor of the Riverside County Chronicles and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of the Riverside Historical Society. Additionally, he holds leadership roles as president of both the Riverside Historical Society and the Riverside County Heritage Association.
The event will be held in the Francis Crocker Room at the Mountain Station of Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. Attendees can purchase "Crocker’s Folly" at the Mountain Gift Shop. Admission to this event is included with general Tramway admission, priced at $32.95 for adults, $29.95 for seniors aged 65 and older, and $18.95 for children aged 3-10. Tram cars operate every 30 minutes.
