Coachella Valley Rescue Mission (CVRM) is preparing to host its Annual Easter Meal Service on Sunday, April 20. The event aims to provide a welcoming environment for those in need, with an expectation of serving over 2,500 meals throughout the day. CVRM is seeking community support through food donations, particularly hams and other essential meal items.
The meal service will include breakfast from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM and dinner from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Additionally, Easter baskets for children will be distributed, donated by community members.
Darla Burkett, Executive Director of CVRM, stated, “At CVRM, Easter is a time of renewal, hope, and community. This special meal is about more than just food—it’s about providing a sense of dignity and belonging to those who may be struggling. We are grateful for the generosity of our supporters who make it possible to serve thousands of meals to those in need.”
CVRM encourages donations of hams, canned vegetables, dinner rolls, desserts, and other meal items. Monetary contributions are also welcome and will directly aid in feeding individuals and families in need. Donations can be delivered to CVRM at 47470 Van Buren St., Indio during business hours or made online at www.cvrm.org.
The event is open to everyone without exception.
