The Western Growers Center for Innovation & Technology, in collaboration with the California Department of Food and Agriculture and College of the Desert, is organizing AgTechX Ed, a half-day event aimed at preparing future tech-savvy agricultural workers.
AgTechX Ed will take place at the College of the Desert and feature three panels discussing key topics: industry issues and skill identification; education and workforce development strategies; as well as current and future workforce needs on farms.
This summit is part of the broader AgTechX Ed Initiative. This statewide effort is spearheaded by Western Growers alongside California Department of Food and Agriculture Secretary Karen Ross. The initiative seeks to equip the upcoming workforce with essential skills to handle new technology in agriculture.
