On June 5, 2025, deputies from the Perris Sheriff's Station Special Enforcement Team and Burglary Robbery Suppression Team conducted a retail theft operation in collaboration with Loss Prevention personnel. The operation took place in the 1800 block of Perris Boulevard in the city of Perris. It aimed to address retail theft proactively and ensure safety for businesses and shoppers.
Several individuals were observed stealing merchandise during the operation. Each suspect was apprehended and arrested without incident.

These operations are supported by legislative efforts such as Proposition 36, underscoring that individuals committing retail theft face arrest and prosecution.
