The Hemet Police Department is currently investigating the death of Bailey Watterson, a 17-year-old resident of Riverside, California. According to the coroner's report, Watterson passed away on June 22, 2025, at Riverside University Health Systems in Moreno Valley.
The incident that led to her death occurred earlier that evening on a roadway located at South State Street, approximately 406 feet south of Chambers Street in Hemet. The time of injury was recorded at 9:02 PM and she was pronounced dead less than an hour later at 9:59 PM.
The case is being handled under investigation number 2025-4101 by the Hemet Police Department. "Refer all inquiries to investigating agency," the report advises for further information regarding the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
