Deputies conduct successful retail theft operation in Perris

On July 10, 2025, deputies from the Perris Sheriff’s Station Special Enforcement Team and Robbery Burglary Suppression Team conducted a retail theft operation on Case Road in Perris. This initiative was in collaboration with loss prevention personnel and aimed to address retail theft while ensuring the safety of businesses and shoppers.

During the operation, several individuals were observed stealing merchandise. Each suspect was apprehended and arrested without incident.

Retail theft operations are supported by legislative efforts such as Proposition 36. It is noted that individuals who commit retail theft face arrest and prosecution. These operations play a crucial role in addressing repeat offenders and deterring organized retail crime while working within existing laws to promote accountability and rehabilitation where appropriate.
