On September 30, 2025, deputies from the Colorado River Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of an assault in the 800 block of West Chanslor Way in Blythe. Upon arrival, they did not find any victims or evidence at the scene.

Further investigation by a School Resource deputy led to the identification of two male juvenile victims. One victim had been assaulted and received treatment at a local hospital. The other was identified as a robbery victim related to the same incident. Authorities named Jaymien Solorio, 19, of Blythe, as the suspect. At the time, Solorio was out on bail for an unrelated matter.

On October 1, deputies located Solorio in the 200 block of North Lovekin Boulevard and detained him without incident. A search revealed evidence connected to the robbery.

Solorio was booked into Blythe Jail on charges including robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, criminal threats, possession of stolen property, and committing a felony while out on bail.

The investigation is ongoing. No further details have been released. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Deputy Aguilar at the Colorado River Station at 760–921–7900. The Sheriff’s Department reminds residents that “Community Policing” involves cooperation between law enforcement and community members.
