On May 7, 2024, deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station responded to a theft at a retail store located in the 18000 block of Collier Avenue, Lake Elsinore. The suspects reportedly entered the store with large bags and began stealing high-end merchandise before fleeing in a red Hyundai Elantra.

The vehicle was later spotted by deputies from the Lake Mathews Sheriff’s Station traveling northbound on the 15 Freeway. Upon conducting a vehicle stop, three individuals were detained. The driver was identified as Delvin Bell, aged 34, along with two 16-year-old passengers. All three suspects are residents of Los Angeles.

Bell was arrested and booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center on charges of grand theft, organized retail theft, and felony child endangerment. The two juveniles were booked into Juvenile Hall for grand theft and organized retail theft.

Over $7,700 worth of merchandise was recovered from the suspect’s vehicle. Investigators discovered that the stolen items were linked to both the Lake Elsinore theft and another theft that had occurred in Eastvale earlier that day.

The investigation is ongoing and no additional information is currently available. Deputy Noel at the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station has encouraged anyone with further information to contact him at (951) 245–3300.

As part of their “Community Policing” initiative, law enforcement officials are urging business owners and residents to report criminal activity directly by calling Sheriff’s Dispatch at (951) 776–1099 or dialing 911 in case of an emergency.
