On November 26, 2025, deputies from the Thermal Sheriff’s Station East Rural Crime and District Team responded to a report of a stolen horse in the unincorporated community of Thermal. The horse, a bay thoroughbred mare valued at about $80,000, was taken from a local ranch on Monroe Street.
Following an investigation, deputies identified two suspects: Zachery Cobbs, age 22, and Cinderella Von Falkenhausen, age 27. Both are residents of Temecula. On December 22, 2025, deputies arrested Cobbs and Von Falkenhausen. They were booked into the John Benoit Detention Center on charges of grand theft and conspiracy to commit theft.
Deputies continue efforts to recover the stolen horse and return it to its owner. The investigation remains ongoing. Authorities have not released further details.
