Coachella Valley Firebirds defenseman Tyson Jugnauth has been named to the 2025-26 American Hockey League (AHL) All-Rookie Team, the league announced on April 15.
Jugnauth led all rookie defensemen in the AHL this season with nine goals and 35 assists, totaling 44 points in 70 games during his first professional campaign. His selection marks him as the fourth player in franchise history to earn a spot on the league’s All-Rookie Team, following Nikke Kokko (2024-25), Ryker Evans, and Tye Kartye (both from the 2022-23 season).
The rest of this year’s All-Rookie Team includes goaltender Sergei Murashov from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, defenseman Dmitri Simashev from Tucson, and forwards Isaac Howard and Quinn Hutson from Bakersfield along with Ilya Protas from Hershey.
The Firebirds will host Fan Appreciation Night at their final regular season home game on Sunday, April 19 against the Abbotsford Canucks. The event features giveaways such as a Mini-Fuego Haboob Globe while supplies last and opportunities for fans to win prizes throughout the game. Tickets are available through official channels.
