In regards to an ongoing homicide investigation in Moreno Valley, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department has identified the 29-year-old victim as Sidrian Alen Cruz, a resident of Moreno Valley. The Sheriff’s Department is encouraging anyone who may have information to contact investigators on the case.

According to the press release issued by Deputy Sgt. Ed Baeza, deputies from the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon on the 21000 block of Cotton Avenue in Moreno Valley.

When deputies arrived on the scene, they located a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, who was pronounced dead at the scene, Sgt. Baeza said. Upon securing the crime scene, the Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation, he said.

Sgt. Baeza encourages anyone who may have information on the crime to call either Ted Gonzales, investigator at the Central Homicide Unit, at 951-955-2777 or Myling Sam, investigator of the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station, at 951-486-6700.
