West Nile Virus detected in mosquito samples from Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage

Mosquito samples collected from routine sites in Palm Desert and Rancho Mirage have tested positive for the West Nile virus (WNV), according to the Coachella Valley Mosquito & Vector Control District. This marks the first detection of the virus in these areas in 2023 and brings the total number of positive samples in the valley to 20.


Palm Springs International Airport welcomes public input on future development at September 19 open house

The PSP Airport Master Plan is aimed at preserving the iconic history of the airport while preparing for an innovative future. The Master Plan Open House, which will take place on September 19 at the Palm Springs Convention Center, will allow residents and stakeholders to engage directly with the development process. It will also provide updates on the progress made in the master planning process.
