The Palm Springs Police Department is investigating a report of an alleged robbery and kidnapping of a man in a blue sedan and has already arrested three suspects.

With both the alleged victim and the blue sedan still missing, police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the event to call the department tip line.

On March 28 at 3:48 p.m., officers responded to the area around 5200 E Ramon Road regarding a potential robbery and kidnapping, according to a Palm Springs Police Department (PSPD) press release.

"All three males were armed with handguns," the Police Department said. "They forced the alleged victim out of the vehicle at gunpoint."

A witness reported seeing three armed Hispanic males assault another man, who was sitting in a blue sedan of unknown make, before escorting him into a white sedan and driving off.

During their initial response and search, a PSPD officer identified a white sedan near N. Palm Canyon Drive and W. San Rafael Road at 4:18 p.m., authorities said. Despite the officer's efforts to stop the sedan, the suspects sped away, vanishing from sight around E Chia and Gene Autry roads.

PSPD officers have since arrested two adult males and one juvenile male, in addition to locating the white sedan involved in the incident. Since the blue sedan and alleged kidnapping victim are still missing, police are asking anyone with information to call the Detective Bureau at 760-323-8144. Those who wish to remain anonymous can call Valley CrimeStoppers at 760-341-7867.
