The CODe on the Road program, hosted by College of the Desert, will be starting up again on June 20 in Desert Hot Springs.

This free opportunity will give students ages 10 and up the chance to receive hands-on experience in various technology-related fields, Palm Springs Unified School District (PSUSD) said in a flyer.

"The popular CODe program is back and coming to your community," the PSUSD flyer said. "The goal of the CODe program is to provide students with enriching experiences that will enhance their technical knowledge and skill, and to inspire students throughout the Coachella Valley toward careers in computer coding, cybersecurity and/or STEM disciplines."

The workshop will be held Monday, June 20, to Friday, June 24, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in multiple locations in the Coachella Valley, PSUSD said. The program will accept no more than 40 applicants.

Participants will have the opportunity to dive into topics such as circuitry, programming, game design and microcontrollers, College of the Desert said on its site. Registration is first come, first served, so it is important for those interested to enroll as early as possible. However, for those who miss signing up for the Desert Hot Springs workshop, there are also upcoming opportunities in Coachella and Mecca/Thermal.
