An investigation into the death of an adult male in Coachella by multiple gunshot wounds has led to the arrest of a 37-year-old city woman on suspicion of murder according to a Monday report penned by Deputy Sgt. Richard Carroll.
At almost 5 a.m. on Sunday, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department responded to a report of a shooting in the 84000 block of Fiesta Road and found a deceased man with multiple gunshot wounds.
Investigators from Thermal Station and the Central Homicide Unit took on the case, and deputies detained 37-year-old Cindy Parra, a Coachella resident, as the murder suspect.
At this time, the victim's identity is being withheld, pending family notification.
According to Sgt. Carroll, Parra has been booked into custody for murder. However, the investigation is still ongoing with no further details to release at this time.
