Calvert supported Biden-signed resolution to end national COVID-19 emergency

U.S. Rep. Ken Calvert (R-Calif.) co-sponsored a resolution, signed into law this week by President Joe Biden (D), which "terminates the national emergency related to the COVID-19 pandemic." 

The resolution was sponsored by U.S. Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) who said the legislation would “end the more than 120 presidential authorities provided under the emergency declaration and safeguard our country from any further abuses by Mr. Biden."

The resolution passed the U.S. Senate on March 29, 2023 on a vote of 68-23. It passed the U.S. House on February 1, 2023 on a vote of 229-197.

U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) did not vote on the resolution. U.S. Sen. Alex Padilla (D-Calif.) voted no.
