The Riverside County District Attorney's Office recently celebrated its annual awards banquet, recognizing the achievements and commitment of its employees. The event was hosted by the County of Riverside.
The 2023 Excellence in Justice Awards banquet took place on March 1, 2024. It acknowledged individuals who demonstrated dedication to justice and community service. According to a press release by the County of Riverside, recipients from various roles such as prosecutors, paralegals, investigators, and administrative staff were honored for their contributions.
District Attorney Mike Hestrin lauded the efforts of his team in the press release. "Every day, the dedicated individuals of the District Attorney's Office tirelessly champion the cause of justice for victims throughout Riverside County," Hestrin said. "The recipients of this year's Excellence in Justice Awards exemplify excellence and unwavering commitment in their service to our community."
The banquet was held at Monteleone Meadows in Murrieta with expenses covered through office-held fundraisers and sponsorships. Among the notable awardees were Sarah Crowley and Samantha Paixao, who were named Prosecutors of the Year. Others were also recognized for their excellence in their respective roles, as mentioned in the release.

These include support workers, detectives, paralegals, attorneys, and victim advocates serving a diverse community of 2.4 million residents residing in Riverside County - ranked as the 10th largest county in the U.S., spanning an extensive area of 7,200 square miles.
