Local businesses in Coachella Valley have received an exclusive invitation to participate in the Inaugural Coachella Valley Local Government Vendor Fair scheduled for April 17 at the Palm Springs Convention Center. The event aims to provide local business owners with insights into doing business with various local governments and agencies in the region.

The fair will showcase over 20 cities and agencies, including Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, and more. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with government officials to understand the procurement and contracting process and the types of supplies and services being sought.

According to Palm Springs Mayor Jeffrey Bernstein, who initiated the event, local businesses have expressed a need to better comprehend the procedures for working with municipalities and agencies in the area. Mayor Bernstein highlighted the significance of ensuring that taxpayer funds are reinvested within the Coachella Valley and Riverside County to bolster the local economy.

Mayor Bernstein emphasized, "It's important to ensure taxpayer dollars, which amount to tens of millions of dollars a year, are spent in the Coachella Valley and Riverside County where they can do the most good and stimulate our local economy."

The Local Government Vendor Fair is tailored for businesses offering services such as general contracting, landscaping, engineering, technology consulting, marketing services, and more. The event will kick off with a presentation from local government officials followed by the fair where attendees can interact with officials to gain valuable insights.

Business owners interested in participating in the fair can register for the event on the palmspringsca.gov/dobizincv website. This initiative aims to foster collaboration between local businesses and government entities, promoting economic growth and sustainability in the Coachella Valley and Riverside County.
