Suspect apprehended after hit-and-run collision leads to pursuit

On May 10, 2024, at approximately 1:48 p.m., deputies from the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to a minor injury traffic collision near the intersection of Monterey Avenue and Dinah Shore Drive. However, before their arrival, the suspect involved in the collision had fled the scene.

The deputies managed to locate the suspect vehicle near the intersection of Gerald Ford Drive and Cook Street. A pursuit was initiated when the driver failed to yield but was later terminated at the intersection of Country Club Drive and Eldorado Drive.

The suspect, identified as Jesse Quiroz, a 27-year-old resident of Indio, was apprehended without any incident. There were no reported injuries to either deputies or Quiroz during this process.
