Perez appointed as Riverside County Board Chair for 2025

Riverside County Supervisor V. Manuel Perez has been chosen by his peers to serve as the chair of the Board of Supervisors for 2025. This marks his second term in this role, having previously led the county in 2020.

Supervisor Perez aims to address several key issues during his tenure, including housing, infrastructure, animal services, air quality, and environmental concerns. As chair, he will facilitate county meetings and intends to engage residents with the county budget. His overarching goal is to enhance the quality of life throughout Riverside County and continually strive for improvements for all residents and communities.

Karen Spiegel, the Second District Supervisor of Riverside County, will take on the role of vice chair of the Board of Supervisors. The board also welcomed a new member, Supervisor Jose Medina, who was sworn in at their first meeting of the year.

“I am proud to be serve once again as the Board Chair and thank my colleagues for this honor and responsibility,” said Supervisor Perez. “Welcome 2025 and welcome Supervisor Medina, here we go!”
