The City of Coachella is set to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, February 13th at 5:30 pm to mark the completion of several new projects at Bagdouma Park. The upgrades include a new restroom facility near the basketball, tennis, and pickleball courts, another restroom with a concession stand by soccer fields 5 and 6, and four Musco Sports LED light fixtures installed on soccer fields 1 and 2.

Funding for these developments has been sourced from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program along with the City's General Fund.

The event will take place at Bagdouma Park, located near Frederick Street and the parking lot on Avenue 51. It is organized by the City of Coachella.

Coachella was incorporated in 1946 and spans approximately 29 square miles. It houses around 41,941 residents in eastern Riverside County within Southern California's Coachella Valley. The city is situated about 97 miles north of the U.S.-Mexico border and roughly two hours from Los Angeles. More information can be found on the city's website at Coachella.org.
