The Desert Sands Unified School District (DSUSD) is organizing a series of job fairs aimed at connecting high school juniors and seniors with potential employers. The events are scheduled for April 7, 9, 16, and 17 in 2025, across four different high schools in the Coachella Valley.
Employers participating in these job fairs will have the opportunity to meet students from La Quinta High School on April 7, Shadow Hills High School on April 9, Palm Desert High School on April 16, and Indio High School on April 17. The events are set to take place during specific hours at each location.
The initiative offers businesses a chance to showcase job opportunities and engage directly with emerging talent. Employers can interview and hire students during the event. "Gain exclusive access to high school students from all four high schools eager to explore career opportunities," states the promotional material for the event.
Registration fees for businesses vary depending on participation duration: $75 for one day, $125 for two days, or $200 for all four days. Each registration includes a table and chairs for recruiters, lunch, access to a hospitality area, and convenient parking.
Proceeds from these job fairs will support career centers at local high schools by providing resources and support focused on career readiness. The organizers emphasize that this is an opportunity not only to recruit future leaders but also to invest in local student success.
