The Coachella Valley Firebirds have secured home-ice advantage for the initial round of the 2025 Calder Cup Playoffs. As the official American Hockey League affiliate of the Seattle Kraken, the Firebirds will face either the San Jose Barracuda or the Calgary Wranglers next week at Acrisure Arena.

Following the San Jose Barracuda's victory over the Calgary Wranglers, the Firebirds confirmed their fourth-place standing in the Pacific Division. The best-of-three series begins on Tuesday. The final playoff opponent will be determined by the result of the Barracuda vs. Wranglers match taking place on Sunday in Calgary.

The first-round match is scheduled to take place as follows: Game One on Tuesday, April 22 at 7:00 p.m. PT, Game Two on Saturday, April 26 at 6:00 p.m. PT, with Game Three, if necessary, on Sunday, April 27 at 5:00 p.m. PT.

The 2025 Postseason, presented by Spotlight 29 Casino, marks the third successive year of partnership with the Coachella Valley Firebirds.

Community excitement for the postseason has been encouraged through various pop-up events, offering merchandise and ticket giveaways with appearances by Firebirds' players and personalities. These gatherings run from 3 p.m. PT to 8 p.m. PT at different locations throughout Coachella Valley.

As group tickets for playoff games are now available, discounts and tax exemptions are offered for groups of 10 or more. Additionally, season ticket memberships for the 2025–26 season are currently on sale to secure seats for the next season.

For more information on premium seating, fans are encouraged to explore their exclusive options at Acrisure Arena through deposits.
