The City of Indio invites the community to its Independence Day Block Party in Downtown Indio on Friday, July 5, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. This free, family-friendly event offers an evening filled with food, fun, and festivities for all ages.
Attendees can enjoy a variety of cuisines from the weekly event Food Truck Fridays as numerous food trucks will serve their most popular dishes. Carnival games and bounce houses will be available for children of all ages. Line dancing sessions hosted by DJ Big John of KPLM The Big 106-FM will take place at Center Stage.
The highlight of the evening will be a live performance by country artist Frank Ray at 7:00 PM on Center Stage, followed by a patriotic drone show at 9:00 PM.
“We are excited to bring this wonderful event to our community,” said Mayor Lupe Ramos Amith. “Celebrating Independence Day with our residents in a way that is enjoyable and inclusive for everyone is truly special. The patriotic drone show is a unique and considerate feature, being both veteran and pet-friendly, allowing all members of our community to participate in the festivities without concerns about loud noises.”
