The Riverside County Sheriff's Office has announced plans to conduct a Driving Under the Influence (DUI) saturation enforcement operation. The event is scheduled for July 11, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. in Eastvale, California.

"Impaired driving is preventable," stated Deputy Armenta. "It's a choice. If you've been drinking or taken drugs that impair, make the right choice by finding a sober driver or alternate transportation to take you places."

The Sheriff's Office emphasized that impaired driving is not limited to alcohol consumption. Certain prescription medications and over-the-counter drugs can also affect driving abilities. It is advised to always follow usage directions and heed warning labels regarding driving. Although medicinal and recreational marijuana are legal, driving under its influence remains illegal.

First-time offenders caught driving impaired face substantial consequences, including an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties and a suspended license.

This program receives funding from a grant provided by the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
