March 3 meeting planned on Homeless Navigation Center

The city of Palm Springs has issued the following press release:The City of Palm Springs invites residents to participate in an upcoming community meeting regarding a new Homeless Navigation Center to be located at 3589 McCarthy Road in the northern part of the city.The meeting will be held from 6-7:30 p.m.


Masks, proof of vaccinations no longer required as of Feb. 28

Beginning Monday, Feb. 28, the City of Palm Springs will no longer require masks indoors or proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 tests in bars and restaurants, aligning its pandemic safety requirements with the state’s policies and guidance.

The City of Palm Springs is planning on lifting its mask and proof of vaccination status mandates for all indoor events, which also includes restaurants and bars, on Feb. 28.

Palm Springs Drought Response

Despite early winter storms, California remains in a drought. On January 4, 2022, the State Water Resources Control Board adopted an emergency regulation that prohibits certain wasteful water use practices statewide and encourages Californians to monitor their water use more closely while supporting habits to use water wisely.
